It’s that time again! Everyone’s favorite music holiday – Record Store Day – is right around the corner and we’re excited to announce our festivities, as we celebrate with independent record stores across the nation and abroad!!Our doors will open at 10am sharp this Saturday, April 21st, to a ton of limited edition RSD exclusive releases. Stake your claim in line early to be sure you get your paws on all the titles you’ve been drooling over these last couple months…*Please note – in an effort to be fair to all customers – all RSD releases will be first come, first served, no RSD titles may be put on hold, and are limited to (1) one copy of any given title, per customer. Some of this years releases are extremely limited and this will help in allowing others to also get a chance to enjoy them…A full list of all official RSD 2012 releases can be viewed here:
http://www.recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases —————————————————- Our backyard stage will kick off at Noon with an amazing list of performers including Fly Golden Eagle, Denney And The Jets, Meadownoise, Ranch Ghost, Uncle Skeleton, The Electric Hearts, Linear Downfall, Tiger High (via Memphis, TN – ft. members from The Reigning Sound, Arthur Lee’s Love, Jack Oblivian, The Trashed Romeos & Compulsive Gamblers) PLUS a special stand-up performance from Chris Crofton – whose debut comedy album, “Pearls Before Swine: Live at The Springwater” is being released that day as a limited Record Store Day LP on Chicken Ranch Records! The performance schedule is as follows: The Electric Hearts: 12:00 – 12:30 (times are subject to change) Inside the shop, we will have DJ sets from Amerigo Gazaway (Fela Soul/Gummy Soul), Noah Uman (WFMU/coffeebreakradio.com) and Angie Dorin (WRFN/Cat Beast Party) – who will be broadcasting live on Radio Free Nashville (WRFN) between 1-3pm! Angie Dorin: 1:00 – 3:00 —————————————————- Outside, we’ll also be having a huge side-walk sale with tons of LP’s, 12″s & CD’s- all marked at $1 or less!! In addition, we’ll also have a store-wide sale – with everything at 15% off all day long! (*excluding RSD titles and consignment items) Throughout the day, local artists from Workforce Rebellion, TM, & AM7 will be on site – creating a 168-foot wall mural behind the shop!! Stickhouse Press will also be on hand, screen-printing our RSD 2012 posters on-site! Our friends and neighbors at Porter Road Butcher will be grilling out, brews from Fat Bottom Brewery and Yazoo Brewing will be available (21+ of course) and catch a sneak peak at the newest addition to the neighborhood – Barista Parlor – as they open their doors for a special soft opening…. …and just when you thought it couldn’t get any better – it does!! We’ll cap off the day with a special rooftop performance from the one and only Black Diamond – the nation’s foremost Neil Diamond impersonator. That’s right, Black Diamond will be serenading us from atop Porter Road Butcher at sunset — something you don’t wanna miss!!! http://www.blackdiamondvocals.com/ We’ll have tons of free RSD swag, raffles and giveaways throughout the day as well – including autographed items, concert tickets and other cool things – graciously donated from our friends at Infinity Cat Records, Neutral Skate Supply, Sellout Presents & many others!
